About Mealventory

An app to know what's in your kitchen, cook what's about to expire, and buy only what's missing.

Why Mealventory

We throw food away because we stop seeing it: at the back of the drawer, the back of the cupboard, behind this week's shopping. Mealventory started from a simple idea: a fridge you can see all of wastes nothing.

Who's behind it

Mealventory is an independent project, designed and built in Belgium. No investors, no ads, and we don't sell your data. The product is funded by subscriptions, with a free plan.

Brigitte, the cooking assistant

Brigitte relies on an AI model to suggest recipes from your stock. She is a cooking assistant, not a doctor or a dietitian: she gives no health advice.

For allergies, every generated recipe is checked server-side against the ones you've declared. It's a safeguard, not a guarantee: always read the ingredient list and the product label.

Your data

  • The database is hosted in the European Union (Ireland).
  • What you save (stock, plan, preferences) is yours: you can export it or delete your account from the app.
  • Details, including technical providers, are in the privacy policy.

What we don't do

  • We don't promise specific savings: the simulator on the home page shows its assumptions, and you can change them.
  • We don't message you without your consent.
  • We don't guilt-trip you: wasting less is a path, not an exam.
