When two people do the shopping, two separate stocks both end up wrong. In Mealventory, the stock, the plan and the shopping list belong to a household, which you share with the people you eat with.
Invite someone
- Open Settings, then My households.
- Find your household’s invitation code.
- Send it to the person. They create their account, then enter the code to join you.
Everyone keeps their own account and their own preferences (diet, allergies), but everyone sees the same fridge.
What is shared
- The stock and the expiry dates.
- The week’s plan.
- The shopping list: when someone ticks an item, everyone sees it.
- The allergies each person chooses to share with the household, so suggested recipes suit everyone.
What stays yours
Your personal preferences, your account, and your own allergies until you share them with the household.
The number of members in a household depends on the plan. You can see the limit in Settings › My households.
