Mealventory is an independent project. Here is where it stands, without embellishing.
What works today
- A stock with almost no typing: barcode scan, receipt photo, manual entry. Fridge, freezer, pantry.
- Dates that speak: what nears its date turns colour, and you see what to eat first.
- Brigitte, the cooking assistant: she suggests recipes with what you already have, taking your diet, allergies and appliances into account. A server-side check rejects recipes that contain an allergen you declared.
- A plan and a shopping list worked out from your stock, sorted by aisle.
- A shared household: several people, one fridge.
- French and English, on the web, installable on your phone.
- Data in Europe: the database is hosted in Ireland.
What’s coming
- A launch in small waves. Early access opens gradually, so we can listen to each person and fix things fast. If you’re on the waitlist, you’ll get a message.
- An iOS app, in preparation.
- Paid plans at launch, with a free plan to try each feature. We’ll announce them here before they exist.
What isn’t there yet
Expiry notifications aren’t active yet. We’d rather tell you than let you assume.
